Thomas Lavere Montgomery

Two week ago I went to visit my grandpa. He was feeling good, we played games and had a good time and I said goodbye. Early Sunday morning, my mom called to tell me he passed away.
My grandpa did a lot for me, always had a joke, was very handy and very humble about it, he fought as a gunner in WWII and worked at the Post Office for 23 years. My grandpa was a great example of hard work. I got my desire to garden, fish and collect coins from him (though I am no where near his level at any of those things) I am so glad I got to spend a little time with him as it was a great surprise to me. I love him and I will miss him. I was so glad my sister was with me to cry with all morning.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa. I'm glad you got to see him a few weeks ago. Hopefully Tracy told you that I called last night. I hope you were out enjoying yourself with your sister. Sounds like things have been busy for you guys lately. Talk to you soon.

I'm glad you had your sister with you when you heard the news. What great pictures of you and him together. And I like your family picture in your sidebar.

Wendy, I am so sorry about your Granpa. Grandparents are just about the best family ever. What a gift that you got to see him recently. Let me know if you need anything at all.

i'm so sorry about your grandpa. that is crazy how fast it happened. it is always such a shock to the system when a loved one passes. what a blessing that you were just able to spend some time with him, he sounds like a sweet man.
