Which one?

Update-so it looks like the Canon has one. Its in the mail, so I hope I like it!

So I have narrowed it down to two, sorry I took this down, but I did a little more research. Any opinions? Sony vs Canon? They are both free to me though my work points. I have a canon and I liked it till it decided to stop taking pictures, but we have used the same card for the last 3 years. My mum and JuJu have Sony's though, but they say the cards are $$. I decided I am just not advanced enough for an SLR camera at this point, maybe later if I ever take a photography class. So put your vote in!

I have the Nikon D40 (not on your list but clost to the last black canon) and love it. It takes awesome pictures. It is a bit big and I would love a really good small one some day but am totally happy with this for now. I would like to get a bigger lens someday soon though! Good luck. My sister has a really nice small one that takes beautiful pictures...I'll ask her about it!

Found you through a friends blog. Canon all the way. My whole family has the SD series and it's been great. Cards are cheap. I got my 1GB for $2.99 and my 2GB for 4.99. Shop buy.com for cards.

I would have to recommend the cannon elph series which is what you can get if the picture is of what can get. I had a professional photographer, say that it is the best digital series for a point and shoot type thing (even though you can do so much more) or nikkon coolpix. So here is another vote for the cannon.

Whatever you get, get a lithium battery. If it says it takes AA batteries or whatever, run far far away!
That being said, we had a SONY before we got our Canon, and it was a piece of trash. We had to send it in to get fixed because it was defective, and then it worked for a few more months before it went kaput right outside of warranty. We love our Canon PowerShot.

We have a three year old Nikon Coolpix and I love/hate it. Good pictures quality, but it takes a long time to reload inbetween shots. We're looking for a new one as well. Let me know what you decide and how it turns out.

I had a cannon years ago and it took great pictures. So, I would probably go with that, but ask Blake he would have more of an opinion.
